It is a privilege to be captain of such a great golf club. I took the game up quite late in life having been involved in local football for many years, initially as a player and later as a referee. I joined the club as a complete novice but was soon welcomed to the world of golf by so many club members. I am very fortunate to now have a circle of golfing friends both at East Brighton and throughout the area. I believe that we have a very special golf course which is never quite the same each time it is played. The wind plays a great part in determining how the course needs to be managed. If you are thinking of visiting us then I can assure you that you will be met with courtesy and charm from a very helpful staff in all areas of the club and you will enjoy a fabulous round of golf. Our Club charities this year are Leo House and Chestnut Tree House. These organisations offer hospice and home care to critically and terminally ill children throughout the county. They also give vital support to the families of these children. I hope you visit us and I look forward to welcoming you. Gary Halewood |
